Ivan Buhanec, an electrical engineering graduate and holder of a master’s degree in economics, began his professional career at the company Iskratel. From there, his journey led him through telecommunication projects of Siemens’ joint venture in Southeast Europe, from Central Europe and China to the Middle East (Syria, Jordan, Oman), where he was responsible for the technical implementation, upgrades, and network operation oversight.

Upon returning to Slovenia, he took on a position in Iskratel’s sales department for Western European markets. Due to his experience in the Middle East, he later assumed responsibility for the sales market in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

After spending several years in Slovenia, he continued his career in neighbouring Austria, where in 2015 he joined the sales department of EFKON, a company offering tolling solutions. In sales, he is responsible for key clients in Norway, the Czech Republic, and as of 2024, Malaysia.
